back...sort of

Sat Aug 26, 2006, 6:49 PM
hello all. Life's been crazy; once I got my tablet back I haven't really been doing a lot of stuff until today. Summer's busy, working and getting ready for Otakon in a month! I finished my costume so happy times. Got a new cameraphone and all that good stuff. Now here are the long overdue dedications:

Steadily dying...

Tue May 16, 2006, 7:18 AM
well, this is the last "hurah" for the school year... THe only reason I'm updating is i don't want to study for my math final in three hours and I have to kill time until ANime club....I don't want to study anymore!!

also, while working on my greek myths final, my tablet began to malfunction and in an attempt to get it to work again, my internet isn't working....so hense why I am only writing something in school. I may be on hiatus for a while until the tablet is working again. I hope it's the old computer and not the tablet otherwise I will die.

i don't usually rant but heck i'm stressed. I'm reading a lot of Tamora Pierce to take the edge off. Her characters are so fun, and I could see a lot of fanart possibilites... (I already have one sketch on my desktop, and I have posted Numair before...)

in two days i will be flying with happiness, all the pain will be over. until then, enjoy life.

(and i will post fav peoples and clubs, never fear^^)

Avoid Cliches this Valentine's Day

Fri Mar 10, 2006, 1:53 PM
Hello all. I should be sleeping but I thought it would be very important to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's day, regardless of if you have that boyfriend or girlfriend in your life or not. It's a day of love....

which, once it's said, can be good or bad, I guess. I am in a bit of a strange mood so I must tell all to avoid the classic cliches. You see, I'm quite afraid of being speared with the passing rose thorn and sliding on disgarded candy wrappers.

Ordinarily I would wear black on such a day, but even that is a cliche to all those not caught up in all the revelry, so I will just settle for whatever falls out of my dresser drawers first.

All in all, I'm approaching the day with a pretty good mood, even though I must get up early so I can secure tickets for Cirque de Soleil. I have done a V Day comic, a sequal to the one I did last year in Art History (and it's got REAL history in their folks!!). If i get off my but I will post them both; they are very dear to me^^ I had started inking a sketch in flash yesterday but it didn't come out very well, so I have nothing to put in my gallery to celebrate, but maybe I'll do so later. I am pushing myself to post SOMETHING else that isn't fanart and I'm not afraid to release into cyberspace.

that said, I am interested to see how this holiday is celebrated at my school. I am especially excited to see what comic ideas spring into my head, including interesting twists to traditionally strict shoujo plots. (including a hammer and perhaps a visit from Eros, which is MANDATORY...)

anywho, that's it really. I must sleep. A big day ahead of all of us tomorrow, so enjoy it and be open to whatever the day brings. (and on that note, the sun better get rid of that slush contaminating NYC...my pants are all wet after that -_-)

And now, the dedications ~_^

Random ramblings and unimportant news...

Sun Feb 12, 2006, 7:33 PM
Hello again. I made a new avatar, totally on a whim this morning. I guess it's ok; for some reason they're never very clear.... yes, dark again^^

anywho, school again. it's ok, i wish some classes were better but most are all right. My favorite day is Thursday, Greek Myths in the morning and Photoshop I in the afternoon. I think I'll actually learn some things in photoshop and i'll know a bunch of it since it's an introductory course but overall it's ok. The only problem with Thursday is the 3 hour break in between my classes, but what can you do, the registrar wouldn't let me take it an hour earlier, and I was NOT staying for a night class. NOOOO way.

I stayed up for a couple of hours doing a math HW that I actually liked...don't get scared. I'm taking Geometry and the Art of Design, which is pretty much the art person's math class. Homeworks are projects. I did this one on photoshop cause it was easy; he wanted us to do all straight lines. My teacher's from Finland, and just has an accent on some of his words.

My room is a mess, cleaning that exploded and I have to think of 3 designs for shoes plus get the supplies and I have no clue what to do yet. I'm on a brainstorming quest, but even so it's slow going. I did 3 sketches for handbags, none of which I'm estatic about (the drawings, that is), but whatever. We'll see what the teacher has to say.

Oh, and I think this little list below is overdue.

All Good things must come to an end...

Thu Jan 26, 2006, 6:49 AM
well, hello there. A lot has happened since I last posted. For one thing, tai chi is now over and yaaaaaaay that means it's back to school next week. I know, I shouldn't be complaining cause I have a longer break than most, but still. Most of my days go till 5 or 6, so bah. But at least I have fridays off, so yay!

i went to flushing last week and got a pack of DNAngel Tarot cards. It's crazy. It took me a while but i was successfully able to figure out all the kanji suits and the major arcana.

in other unimportant news, I got a Fushigu Yuugi wallscroll, and it looks awesome in my room. Makes me happy.

wow, that's really it. I have some flash work I did and I will put it up soon, hopefully. that's all, peace out.
